ABOUT ME
Paul Warburton is a widely recognised and highly respected violinist and teacher who enjoys an enormously varied and exciting career. He has performed with the CBSO under Sir Simon Rattle and Sakari Oramo in virtually every capital city in Europe and many major music festivals world-wide, on countless TV and radio broadcasts and on numerous CD recordings. Paul was a member and Assistant Leader of the Glyndebourne Touring Opera Orchestra and also played regularly for the Royal Shakespeare Company, BBC Orchestras, Opera North, Garsington Opera, Covent Garden Soloists and many other orchestras and chamber groups as well as TV, film work and solo engagements. He has worked with many of the world’s greatest conductors, soloists, actors and musicians.
Paul studied with Beverley Davison and Howard Davis (Royal Academy of Music) and attended masterclasses with Igor Ozim, Simon Standage and Peter Cropper (Lindsay Quartet). As a student he won the European String Teachers Award for String Quartet playing and the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Prize.
